An ancient mystery
Discovered in the Minoan palace in Phaistos, Crete, a circular clay disc with enigmatic letters that no one has yet been able to decipher. So many have become fascinated with solving the mystery of this artifact that letters about the Phaistos Disc arrive at the Heraklion Archaeological Museum almost every day.
The Minoans themselves are a mystery, unique in their culture, the only non-violent culture known to us. Their art is feminine, vivid in colour and devoid of battle scenes. Their palaces are full of treasure, yet no defensive walls.
