Day 54

Day 54

Elegant, graceful and pleasingly pink, Flamingos dance for their food and for their love. This is something that needs to be seen to be truly appreciated.

These tall birds use their feet to kick up algae which they vacuum up with the aid of their curved beaks.

When it’s time to find a mate they dance. They draw from a repertoire of 136 moves. They most often fall back on their 9 signature moves, some so complex that they take years to master.

It’s no wonder a flock of flamingoes is known as a flamboyance.
